May is Mary's month, and it is a time to honor her in our Church by reverencing all the good things Christ is doing in our midst. Her YES to Christ makes it possible for all the graces of the Incarnation and Resurrection to flow into our lives. This month, we have a lot to be thankful for to God. Here are some things coming up that I am grateful for:
May 3 - 6:15 pm May Crowning and Retirement Celebration for Mrs. Schwartz. We will celebrate a special May Crowning with our PSR students on Tuesday, May 3 at 6:15 pm. We will also celebrate Mrs. Marilyn Schwartz who will be retiring from her role as PSR Director this Spring with a special 'surprise' treat for her. All are welcome!
May 5 - 7:00 pm Eucharistic Adoration. Every first Thursday of the month, we have an hour of Eucharistic Exposition and Adoration from 7:00 - 8:00 pm. Time spent with Jesus during Adoration is one of the most fruitful ways we can grow in our relationship with God.
Awesome Opportunity: Angel Scholarship Fund. Ohio is the 18th state to implement a tax credit scholarship program for taxpayers to turn their tax dollars into tuition assistance. Donors to the Angel Scholarship Fund receive a tax credit to offset their Ohio income tax liability. Students receive tuition assistance at no net cost to donors! Read more in today's bulletin, on our website at www.stpatrickthompson.org/asf, and stay tuned for more information. This is a win-win for taxpayers, students, families, Catholic schools, and our parish community. I am so excited about this opportunity and to share more with you in the coming weeks!
Coming Soon: Spiritual Bouquet for Fr. Spisak's 40th Priesthood Anniversary. Parishioners will have a chance to sign up to pray in a special way for Fr. Spisak in the coming weeks. We will celebrate his 40th Jubilee here at St. Patrick's on Saturday, June 11 at the 4:00 pm Mass with a reception to follow. More details to come. All are welcome.
Our November Listening Session material has been fully presented in the bulletins over the past few months and is available to view on our parish website at www.stpatrickthompson.org/listeningsessions. I encourage you to visit past bulletins or the website to pray with the main themes that were brought up (Community, Worship, Faith Formation, and Participation), the various sub-themes under each theme, as well as the comments that were recorded at each Listening Session. I appreciate the participation of our parish family and your continued prayers and reflections as we develop a pastoral plan around these key areas of parish life and ministry
