This weekend, February 20-21, is the Parish Appeal Weekend for the Annual Catholic Appeal for the Diocese of Cleveland.
The Theme for this year’s Appeal is “Love Your Neighbor.” Each parish has been given a specific goal. For example, the goal for St. Patrick’s in Thompson is $21,822, while the goal for St. Mary’s in Chardon is $130,397. I want to thank you for your generosity in the past and ask that, if possible, you may be as generous as possible in responding to this year’s Appeal.
The Diocesan goal for all the parishes combined is $13,500,000. Catholic Charities provides assistance from food banks and hot meal programs to 273,449 individuals. This number continues to grow. Catholic Charities provides shelter to those seeking warmth and comfort at night at 7 shelter sights and has offered 73,544 nights of shelter to those in need. These are just some of the services offered by Catholic Charities along with Family Centers and Disabilities Services.
May God bless the good work being done each day by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Cleveland.
