There is a spiritual formation process called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). RCIA helps adults grow in their relationship with God, become familiar with Roman Catholic teachings and practices, and get acquainted with people in the parish.
By becoming Catholic today, you are joining an ancient faith, founded by Jesus Christ. The mission of the Catholic Church is to announce the good news of salvation for all people and the coming of the Kingdom of God. When you become Catholic you not only join a Church, you are also welcomed into the Family of God. As a member of God’s Family you will be able to participate in and receive Sacraments which are designed to help strengthen you, and guide you, through this life; and prepare you for the life in the world to come.
By joining the Catholic Church you will be joining billions of people around the globe who confess one faith passed down by the Apostles of Jesus. We use God’s word in the Bible and Catholic Faith Tradition to guide us in living the lives of a as modern day disciples of Jesus. As we seek to live the way Jesus taught us each member of our Catholic Family strives to grow in holiness.
As we progress in holiness, our prayers, good words and deeds help to make our families, and our world to be better places in which to live and grow in faith.
