I wrote a few weeks back about the National Eucharistic Revival that all our dioceses and parishes are taking part in over the next three years. The mission of this Eucharistic Revival is to renew the Church by enkindling a living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. The vision is to inspire a movement of Catholics across the United States who are healed, converted, formed, and unified by an encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist—and who are then sent out on mission “for the life of the world.” You can sign up for weekly newsletter updates and get access to some great video content to learn more and increase your devotion to our Eucharistic Lord at https://www.eucharisticrevival.org.
I also wanted to share with you that our benches in memory of Fr. Redmond are scheduled to be delivered this week. We will station them in the portico leading into the church and have a short dedication service the weekend of August 27-28. A memorial plaque will be made to go with the benches in the coming weeks as well. I hope that these benches will serve as a beautiful memorial for Fr. Redmond and a peaceful place of contemplative rest for our people for many years to come.
I will be away this week visiting friends and family in the area. Let's keep each other in prayer, and I look forward to seeing you after next weekend!
