I am pleased to announce that we have hired a new Facilities Manager and Communications Director! Greg Clack was hired as our Facilities Manager and will begin working with us on Monday, August 1. Kelly McCloskey was hired as our Communications Director and will begin working with us on Monday,
August 8. Kelly and Greg were hired with shared staff roles between St. Patrick Parish and St. Mary Parish and School. Their new roles will help centralize and streamline our communications and facilities needs. Please see the photos and introductions in this weekend's bulletin and welcome Kelly and Greg to our staff!
 
I also want to provide an update on St, Mary School. Our School Principal,
Mrs. Friederike Wintersteller, will not be returning to St. Mary School this year. I have asked Mrs. Julie Fedak to serve as our Interim Principal. Mrs. Fedak has been with St. Mary School since 2007 and is in the process of earning her school administration license. She served this past school year as our Assistant Administrator, STEM Coordinator, and 8th grade math teacher. I am confident in her ability to lead our school for the 2022-2023 school year.

Our school is in a healthy position for this year. Our enrollment is steady, and a handful of our families qualified for the Ed Choice Expansion scholarship this year, meaning that they will receive financial assistance from the state of Ohio that will cover the complete cost of their tuition for this year. Moreover, we were able to apply diocesan scholarships and Adopt-a-Student scholarship to help lower tuition payments for struggling families. Finally, at this time we are also the leader in Angel Scholarship donations in our diocese! (Did you see St. Mary School mentioned in this month's Northeast Ohio Catholic magazine?)
