Dear Parish Family, 
We celebrate the Holy Trinity this weekend, affirming God's revelation of Himself as one God in three divine Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. One way to consider the relationship between the Persons of the Trinity are in terms of love, charity, and self-gift. God is love, and this gift of self which we call love is what constitutes relationships between persons. God the Father loves the Son. The beloved Son loves the Father. The Holy Spirit is the very love between Father and Son. 
 
This Trinitarian pattern is the basis of all human relationships between lover, beloved, and the gift of love itself. A family is a great example of what this looks like: the mutual love of spouses (man and woman, lover and beloved) opens the space for a child (the gift of love between a man and a woman). Wherever true charity is found in a family, between friends, or as part of a parish community of disciples, the love and presence of our Trinitarian God is there.
 
Eucharistic Miracles Presentation
You are invited to come to a Eucharistic Miracles presentation at St. Mary Chardon this Tuesday, May 28 with John Liberatore and Nate Menkhaus. I met John at a "Teens Encounter Christ" (TEC) retreat that I led a number of years back. I also mentored Nate for a year as he prepared to enter seminary. These are really wonderful disciples who love the Lord and want to share with you some of the awesome miracles of our Lord in the Eucharist. I hope you can come!
 
Eucharistic Procession
Join us on a Eucharistic Procession through Chardon Square next Sunday, June 2 after the St. Mary Chardon noon Mass! About 100 people joined us for this procession for the first-time last September. We processed with Jesus in the monstrance through the Square as we prayed the rosary together. Those who couldn't walk the entire way met us at the gazebo where we paused for a short time of prayer and Benediction. We will do the same thing this time on June 2, and come back to the church for a short time of Adoration following the procession. This is an awesome witness of our Eucharistic faith to our culture, an invitation to follow Jesus who isn't afraid to enter our city centers and Squares, and a powerful testimony to onlookers that it's worth following Jesus wherever He leads us.
  
Catholic Charities Update

Footsteps of St. Paul Pilgrimage
Our pilgrimage to Greece and Turkey is filling up! If you'd like to come on this life-changing trip with us from September 3-13, please know there are a few spots left, but the last day to register with final payment is on Tuesday, June 4. I hope you all have an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend. Together let us commemorate in prayer all the men and women who gave their lives to safeguard our freedoms and religious liberty to love God and our neighbor. Memorial Day Mass is at 9:00 am on Monday at St. Mary Chardon.
